How I Think
I think that I think in landscape. What I mean is that I have recognized that as a designer I gravitate toward connecting notes and taking inventory of a sense of place such that the design wishes to touch all of the characters at place in a specific location. In past projects this has resulted in forms that sprawl and connect. Linkages if you will, between different programs and different areas. By the end of a project I reflect on my work and intuitively recognize that I have blurred the lines between architecture and landscape. As a result I value similar projects and ways of thinking. I find immense beauty in the narrative and desire to be a part of projects allow architecture to be incredibly politically and physically connective. Why do I think like this and how does this intuitive sense of design play out in smaller scale projects?
