Cautionary tales of a technology dependent future.
From the movie "Blade Runner" and reading "Delerious New York" we see two ideals of what could happen as technology become more and more integrated into our lives so much that reality can sometimes become lost. One great and terrible trait that all technology has is its ability to take us away from reality. becoming lost in a world full of imagination can also become very dangerous. As we become lost deeper in an imaginative world we forget what is around us. I see both reading and movie to be good cautionary tales to warn us of the danger of retroactive manifesto and cautions us of the future as we become more dependent on technology.
Places such as Las Vegas, Disney, etc... Makes this retroactive manifesto a 'reality' away from actual reality. These places are also vacation type destinations. Technology in individual/residential architecture has recently been behind times until recent decades and is usually focused around the construction rather than perception or imagination.
