Mall and More

As junk food would provide people with tasty experience with cheap price , the "junk space" in the mall or other "commercial building" seem to have the same effect, which provide users with wonderful experience not limited to shopping at low cost or even no cost. The junk space has received more and more attention from the architects during design process. Many cases happened in China, the use of roof top the atrium have been enlarged to be a second public space for people to entertain.

Another good example is that my past experience of visiting The Venetian Casino at Macao two years ago. The underground level was exploit to be shopping mall, A indoor Venetian style canal was created and several tourists were sitting on the gondolas ridden by Italian staffs.  The ceiling consists of hundreds of screens, showing the unchangeable blue sky, which made visitors lose the awareness of time. All these artificial elements enable the casino to boast its another attraction to those who don't visit the casino.
