The Urban Sprawl: people get pushed out

The suburban is very special in the US. The downtown of the city is very small but the city can sprawl very big. The highway just goes through the city and connect with the suburban. But the bad thing is the public transportation is really bad to connect the city. That because rich people want to live out of the city but still work in the town and most of the people want to drive the car instead of taking public transportation.
The suburban is reasonable because the city is almost broken. The downtown is not for people to live and some of them are really expensive. That push most people to move out of the town. The rich people have better land in the town and their community is very safe that do not bother by the homeless. The other part of the city is full of homeless and also cause some of the safety issues. The people who can not afford the city land will be pushed out of the city to suburban. But they still need to find the job in the down and just drive on the highway every day. At least, they can get a better price of the house and bigger land at the same time the safety is better too.

  1. Choosing to live in the city or in the suburbs in the US is a tough decision to make for potential homeowners. Both have the advantages and disadvantages so it really depends on the individual. Do you want to pay a high monthly rent for small square footage in the city for convenience or do you want to pay the same amount for investing in a home but be further from the city?

  2. Personally, I think I would prefer living in the suburbs as opposed to the city. but I understand the issue of having an efficient transportation system, It really can make or break a city.

  3. City governments ought to invest in public transportation. Ultimately, cars and roadways are tearing through our environments in a wave of unnecessary destruction. My personal belief is that there should be more regulation discouraging car ownership and an emphasis on high quality public transit among other things.
