Everyone is trying to find the meaning of existing, and who he/she is. But why you have to find it. Just Exist.

After the reading and discussion of Peter Eisenman's work, one thing comes out from my mind that 'It makes sense to exist'. It doesn't matter if people like it or not. Because it exists, it doesn't matter you if you like it or not. Your mother gave you the life no matter if you like it or not. You will become older no matter if you like it or not. The earth will rotate no matter if you like it or not.

But, I think everyone is trying to find the meaning of existing. You are,  Peter Eisenman is, and everyone is. Peter just wants to find something fun. You wants to. Someone may say, I want to do something that can make his/her life meaningful. I don't want to leave this world without any thing.

But why do you have to find something meaningful to you? You are just a person. You exist because you exist. You create something because your mind exists. And you think that it is cool, fun or ugly. There is no reason that someone wants to do this or that. Because his existing makes him/her to do that thing. His/her born, hometown, traveling experiences, the book he/she read, all make him do that. That is why this world is so beautiful. No reason, just exist.

So, just enjoy!

  1. First of all, beautiful post my dude. I will be that guy and say that it is just human nature to be existential and to try to find meaning in everything. We post-rationalize not only our work but our life as well because we live in a rational world and a world where views are always challenged and should be challenged. A world where things have to make sense and should make sense. Every move we make is calculated and has meaning whether we realize it in the moment or not. Existing is not only about finding meaning and beauty but also about rationalizing and being critical because that is human nature and human nature is at the heart of existing.

  2. I love this post, Yage. So well written and so full of meaning. I wish our world was less like the one Tyler describes and more like the one you talk about, but unfortunately that isn't often the case.
