A "Generous Building"
Architects have faced many challenges over the year when it comes to public and private spaces. The interaction between people and space can have a huge impact when designing communities within big cities. The topic of economic retrofitting vs social creativity had me thinking about the spaces between public and private space. How can society change the way we interact with each other?
With this, I think about generous buildings. Generous buildings are about the relationship between the urban street and private spaces. It’s the space that architects and urban designers usually forget about because it is left to the users to decide. The idea of using generous design as a guide for buildings can help create a healthy environment and safer communities. With this, designing these moments can improve urban life within the inner cities.
