While it is unfortunate that, for example, malls are dying out and becoming "meaningless," I would have to say that it is far from "junkspace." Relating the reading and the movie, Koolhaas defines "junkspace" as chaotic, disorganized, and meaningless and the direction that the world is moving towards, it may be 'junkspace' that is related to something that gives no architectural value and a mass production of consumerism however, as a person I would think it is far from it. It brings a sense of community and gives us the opportunity to socialize and gives us connections.
