If you build it will they come?

Sometimes the best spaces are the undesigned spaces. Not everything in our lives should be designed; it should be open for interpretation. The public will occupy spaces that were either designed or undesigned whether it was meant for that purpose. It’s amazing to see strangers come together and use it freely or with a common purpose. Spaces need to be left up to the people on how they want to interpret it and with undesigned areas more experiences come from it. Over designing can persuading the user to act to think a certain way, but when it is open for interpretation the occupant so much freedom.
