Renovation Interior of Building

How can interior be the weakness of modern architectures? Before I meet Stanley Russell (http://www.wstanleyrussell.com/), a solo architect in Charlotte, I thought architect, interior architect and landscape architect were three different individual works. With those three majors' proper cooperation, buildings' external and internal space could be well designed. But after meet with Stanley Russell, who dedicates himself into one family housing design, this real, alive architect changed my mind. An architect can design everything in their buildings, from landscape to interior and even furniture, regarding knowledge, time and experience.  Not only architect masters from textbooks can do this, but every architect.

During my graduating year in college, my studio professor told us thirty years ago, when he was an architecture student in school, there was only one major in architecture institute. This only major was called architecture, include urban design, landscape design, interior design. But by the improvement of technology and education, the major architecture, was separated into several detailed majors. The initial was to pursue varieties and professional. Unfortunately, this causes the isolation and uneven concentration on building design.

In most European countries, current jobs for architects are doing renovations for antique buildings. Renovations are also the tendency for most architects around the world. Antique buildings have its urban context on its site, which is also a strict limitation for exterior design. Then the interior renovation will be a good place for architects to transform this to Achilles' spear in his hand.
