Forming the Land

 Out of Kenneth Frampton’s Sis Points Towards an Architecture of Resistance, Culture Versus Nature is the point that I feel I consider the most when designing. Since freshman year of undergrad I have always been fascinated with site context and how it can influence a design. The ground plane is something that a lot of people overlook in design and I feel it is a large opportunity to enhance a design and allow users to be more immersed in the project. For example, creating different levels throughout the site or using different materials can create smaller programmable areas and create a sense of hierarchy across the project.
