Exterior& Interior
As we talked during class, Chapel of St. Ignatius is such a creative project and can be a good example to explain how the envelope could influence the interior in a good way. I have been there one year ago. With my own experience, the exterior appearance looks kind of wired to me. But when I walked inside, it did surprise me with the colorful daylight and different shape of gaps which also divide the space in an imperceptible way. Then I totally understand the "strange" envelope and do like the connection between the inside and outside.
This chapel also reminds me of the La Chapelle de Ronchamp. The envelope and the interior also have a close relationship but in a different way, more "flat", colorful, and "unified".
