Creating 'fleeting sensations' with strategy

"...A third category of time, the discontinuous and spontaneous moments that punctuate daily experience - fleeting sensations of love, play, rest, knowledge. These instances of rupture and illumination, arising from everyone's daily existence, reveal the possibilities and limitations of life... starting points for social change"

We are strategists, architecture is a strategical implication that we hope shapes to the world that we, and others want to live in. We try to plan for 'spontaneous moments' where that be making a stair landing larger for chance gatherings or widening corridors for casual conversations. We can design spaces for 'rest' and for 'knowledge' but these designs are simply strategies that could occur in these spaces, not necessarily what does.

I do not think that we are able to fully design for specific instances. I believe that specific interactions and 'daily life' situations happen because of people, and not because of the area they are in. I do think though that we are able to help shape this social change and social balance. With simple tactics like leaving background space for people to fill in, or creating 'spacial frames' rather than boxed in rooms. This would start to blend strategy with tactic and hopefully an architectural language that better suites everyday life and modern change.
