One persons junk is another persons space!
Being conflicted about Rem Koolhaas' "Junkspace" is a common reaction for many people, as the concept challenges traditional notions of architecture and design. On one hand, Koolhaas' critique of the modern tendency to create meaningless and underutilized spaces is insightful and thought-provoking. On the other hand, some may argue that the spaces he describes as "junkspace" can still be functional and serve a purpose. Additionally, some may view Koolhaas' ideas as being too critical or negative, and feel that he doesn't take into account the practical limitations and constraints that often dictate the creation of spaces in architecture. Ultimately, the concept of "Junkspace" is complex and open to interpretation, and it can be difficult to come to a clear conclusion about its validity or value.
I agree. The term 'junkspace' itself is left to interpretation when you begin to peel back the layers of the space being described. I do not think there is a correct definition because the term can apply to so many aspects of describing a space.
