Everyday Life, Everyday People, Everyday Time
The idea of designing for everyday life seems to be somewhat of common sense. I love the fact that design can be manipulated per an individual, creating something that is very personable to each and every situation.
The connection with mass housing and single family housing is brought ever closer with the customization of living spaces. Everyone wants their home to be something that reflects themselves. I think that this is one of the most intriguing aspects of architecture; how something designed can be so personable and either help someone live their life, make it more enjoyable, or both.
The only constrain to this thinking is time. It takes a lot of time to create something so intimate. Magnifying this aspect to multi-family housing is something of a concern if the projects are taking years longer to materialize.
