One of the ideas of Critical Architecture is that it is indexical, meaning that it is the result of a process. Take a block, rotate it, place it...BAM...you've got a building form. Doesn't this seem a bit like many of the parametric designs that we see today? A general form is placed, then a series of processes form an index of parameters that determine the building's form. Today, programs like Rhinoceros have add-ons such as Grasshopper that can perform these tasks easily. It quickly allows this index to be modified to create a completely different form.
