Projective Architecture on Human Perception

Somol and Whiting’s position on dialectic to Doppler is intrigues me. I understand their proposition of the Doppler Effect and parallax – which to me essentially boils down to “it takes two to tango.” What I don’t quite understand is their stance on human perception, which intrinsically sparks from the relationships between our (1) brain, (2) body and (3) environment. It seems to me that projective architecture can differentiate itself from critical architecture in that it doesn’t worship form (which I would agree with), but can still miss the mark in terms of designing what it means to occupy a space as a human (re: WW’s uncomfortable-looking IntraCenter).

  1. I feel like the human perception is about the relationship of the person while "doing the tango" sort to speak. It means architecture will be perceived in a different way depending on the point of view of the person interacting with it.
