Projective without the Critical

Can projective architecture really exist without having some influence of critical architecture? It seems that the theory behind projective architecture is to take the user into consideration; things are always changing and adapting to it's surroundings, but there must be some application of the design fundamentals that can be learned through critical architecture. Maybe critical architecture doesn’t focus on the user and only focuses on the study of forms, grids, etc, but it teaches the understanding of architectural design. How could we consider projective architecture being architecture without having the essential knowledge of design, but focusing only on the user? Doesn’t projective architecture assimilate the ideas of critical architecture and then acknowledge the end user?
